FERPA Certification
All faculty and staff that work with students' records need to be FERPA Certified. FERPA certification must be fulfilled before you can gain access to your courses.

Supported Web Browsers
Canvas supports the current and first previous major releases from these main browsers: Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. You should always use the most current version of your preferred browser. Your browser will notify you if there is a new version available.

Note: Some supported browsers may still produce a banner stating Your browser does not meet the minimum requirements for Canvas. If you have upgraded your browser but you are still seeing the warning banner, try logging out of Canvas and deleting your browser cookies.

Accessing Canvas
You can access your Canvas courses in the CIS portal or by using the direct URL
CIS Portal
- Log in to the Campus Information Services (CIS) portal.
- Search for Canvas
- Select Canvas Login.
Follow the directions to create a test Canvas course.
Direct URL
Type the direct URL into your web browser, then log in using your University credentials.
NOTE: Bookmark the direct URL in case CIS is unavailable.
