Exam Services is in the process of returning to our on campus operation for Fall semester 2021. This process involves securing vendor services for exam management and scheduling of our facilities. We anticipate the completion of this process near the end of August.
The ProctorU contract we had as an emergency service, throughout the past year’s remote teaching semesters, will expire in August and will not be renewed. Instructors can continue to facilitate their own Zoom monitored exams if they so choose. It will take us the month of August to complete the RFP and contract work. We will then work quickly to provide detailed instructions for how instructors can schedule an exam for their beyond-campus classes.
Support services will continue for Canvas Quizzes and Turnitin with the addition of Gradescope, an assessment technologies app connected to Canvas assignments for all class modalities and Annoto, a video commenting tool that can enable recorded video time-coded responses including text, audio or video responses. This can enable an oral-exam type experience possibly using recorded video.
We are doing everything possible to have services configured and instructions for instructors and students around the start of Fall semester.
