How to Add Unenrolled Students to a Canvas Course

To add unenrolled students to a Canvas course:

1. Open Settings
   Click the Settings tab in the Course Navigation.
2. Select Sections
3. Add Section
   Enter the name of a new section and click the +Section button.
4. Open People
   Click the People tab in the Course Navigation.
5. Select +People
6. Select Role & Section
   Select Student from the Role drop-down menu and select the newly created section name from the Section drop-down menu.
7. Enter UNID
   Under Add user(s), select SIS ID option and enter the student's UNID.
8. Click the Next button
9. Verify Add Users

After you have verified the information is correct, click Add Users button.
